Welcome to the official website of Ghana Lifesaving and Diving Association (GHALDA). The association was formed in November 2010 under the leadership of Mr. Kwami Kpodoh, who was an American Swimming Coaches Association Level 3 Swim Coach, FINA swimming Referee (Swimming & Open Water Swimming), Technical Director of the Ghana Swimming Association, Lifeguard trainer and Assessor at Lincoln Community School, Abelemkpe in Accra.

GHALDA was established to prevent drowning and aimed at improving water safety, water rescue, lifesaving, lifeguarding and also to promote swimming and organize lifesaving sports.

GHALDA is non-political, non-religious, national association that spearheads the effort to reduce injury and death in, on, or around the water.
